16 inch chainsaw chain: drive links, pitch and gauge

Not every 16" chain is the same. The number of drive links depends on the pitch and on the saw, so start from your saw below, or from the pitch stamped on your old chain.

Questions people ask

How many drive links on a 16 inch chainsaw chain?

It depends on the pitch: 3/8" LP: 54/55/56/57/58/59; 3/8": 59/60; .325": 62/66/67.

Are all 16 inch chains the same?

No. Pitch, gauge and drive link count all have to match your saw and bar. Two chains for the same bar length can differ in all three.
